I have a passion for helping others create and strengthen meaningful relationships in their lives, whether with a partner, loved one, or self. I enjoy working with couples and individuals to identify and change hurtful relationship patterns and negative beliefs and create healthier ones. Healing and change happen through relationships when we feel secure and loved. As your therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, secure, and non-judgmental space where the growth and change you seek can occur.
I want you to know that you’re not alone in this struggle, and there is hope and a way to get to a better place. When we work together, you will have a safe and secure place to find true acceptance and understanding, strengthen your bonds with yourself and others, and heal emotional wounds. I will use empathy and acceptance while helping you understand and change your negative patterns and build on your natural strengths. Together, we can work on writing the next chapters of your life and love story so it becomes the story you’ve always longed for.
I am committed to making my practice a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for people of all races, sexual orientations, genders, and religious beliefs. I offer couples therapy, premarital counseling, and individual therapy for communication issues, relationship concerns, betrayal and affair recovery, self-esteem, anxiety, and life transitions.
A bit of my personal story: I’m a fourth-generation Arizona native and the eldest daughter in my family. I studied psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University and Arizona State University, completed a research fellowship at the Air Force Research Laboratory, worked as an administrative assistant for my grandmother’s orphanage in Mexico, attended graduate school at ASU in the MFT program, got married, worked six years in community mental health, had two kids, then worked in a group private practice for four years before launching Love Story Therapy in March 2020, right as a global pandemic hit. I have always wanted to be in a helping profession and have long been fascinated by relationship dynamics. I feel like everything makes more sense once I get the full story. When I’m not in session, you’ll usually find me outdoors running, hiking, or reading fiction, or with my husband, our two kids, and our feisty goldendoodle, probably in the middle of something chaotic and wonderful.
