Meet Shannon Alley

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Private pay and in-network with Aetna, Optum, and Quest insurance plans
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. I believe every person deserves to be the hero of their own story. Too often, life gets in the way. Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, unhealthy relationships, poor boundaries, and everyday stress can make us feel like the tragic side character in a story we often forget we have more control over than we realize.

My goal in therapy is to walk with you through whatever struggles you’re facing, offering hope, perspective, and support along the way. Sometimes we simply need an impartial, non-judgmental person to truly listen and understand what we’re going through, and that alone can help ease the emotional burden. It is my privilege to work with adolescents and adults in individual therapy as we work to remove the roadblocks keeping you from becoming the main character in your own life.

I am an inclusive therapist and welcome working with people from all backgrounds. I have a special heart for men navigating midlife concerns, relationship stress, and the pressures of daily life.

I also deeply value working with the queer community and consider myself both an ally and advocate. As a mother of two boys, I also love supporting moms through the emotional and mental strain of parenting, whether you are newly postpartum or parenting older children.

My approach is grounded in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, along with strength-based and supportive counseling. I tend to be present-focused and want to understand what is getting in the way of you living your best life today, so we can work together toward actionable solutions for tomorrow. I can be direct, I use humor often, and I believe most of us are simply normal people with normal problems doing the best we can. If that resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
